City-Style Restaurant in Downtown Andover

Tucked into Barnard Street in downtown Andover, LaRosa’s Café & Bar is a popular restaurant with an urban feel.

During the day, the quick-style café is a great lunch spot — serving up fresh, made-to-order, gourmet sandwiches. My favorite is the Salmon B.L.T. Served on a brioche bun, it offers a thick piece of blackened salmon, topped off with lime-basil mayo, mixed greens, tomato, and bacon. I also love the super-popular Angry Sicilian — a whopping sandwich of mortadella, capicolla, salami, fresh mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, onion, roasted red peppers, hot cherry peppers, balsamic, and evoo, on toasted scali.

In addition to sandwiches, the café offers fresh salads, unique pasta specialties, and daily specials. You can dine in or take yours to go. The café also offers beer and wine.

Dine Alfresco on The Back Brick Patio

If you are looking for alfresco dining, step out back to LaRosa’s secluded brick patio. Exuding European elegance, the patio is open day and night for most of the year.

At 4pm, one side of the café transforms to a white-table dining room, where you can grab a casual dinner of super-fresh, simple food.

Locals pour into the cozy, white marble bar, offering a unique, urban feel and a simple Italian influenced menu, fresh craft cocktails, and eight rotating local beer taps.
